| This page features three cars to showcase some of the services offered by Hall’s – a completed MGA 1600 re-build, a completed ‘Airline’ special MG BGTV8 ready for delivery, and an example of an ongoing project – Steve’s personal FIA track car. The MGA 1600 is a complete nut and bolt rebuild. The engine bay is superbly detailed, and the interior is trimmed to the same high standard.
This is effectively a ‘brand new’ fifty-year-old car, just in time to celebrate the 50th anniversary of the MGA in 2005. This MG BGT has been built to the new owner’s specification. The car now includes the ‘Airline’ body styling shown here, along with a Rover V8 power plant and automatic gearbox.
The interior has been trimmed in red leather with walnut dash and door cappings, and the car will soon travel to its new home in Cyprus where the owner can ‘live the dream’! The rear of the car is particularly attractive – note the flaring of the wheel arch, the twin exhaust pipes, and the way the MG badge has been let in to the spoiler.
In the meantime, Steve Hall has been busy working on his re-entry to the MG racing world, transforming this very sad bodyshell...
...into this well-sorted FIA track car. This project is ongoing, and the car may look very different when you see it next!
